No other auto shop compares to the excellent customer service I received here. Tom was very helpful when I had questions about pricing after a mix up. I plan on telling everyone that this is the place to go.

A lot of person to person interaction, and useful information. Definitely a good stop for anyone just passing through and needing help, as well as customers interested in having a go-to car shop to be a regular customer at.

I had a good experience at AAMCO Hburg. I went to AAMCO to get 70K mile maintenance done on my Honda Accord, which included brake fluid, transmission fluid, and power steering fluid changes. The people there were courteous and clear, explaining what was to be done on the car and what to expect, and reminded me of the current 2-for-the-price-of-1 fluid change discount they were running. The work was done quickly and at a fair price. Overall, a positive experience.
Traveling from Maine to Charlotte, our clutch went out. We got into Harrisonburg on a Sunday and left Tom an email. They got me in first thing Monday morning, and worked on the clutch all day Monday and into Tuesday morning. To get me back on the road ASAP, they did a temporary fix on a transmission mount. So far, everything looks to have been done well. Tom even called a local shop here in Charlotte to describe the temporary fix, and he was kind enough to shuttle me to and from my hotel. I would certainly go there again.
To Tom and the technicians, I want to thank you for your time and energy to get me back on the road after experimenting transmission problems on my way to North Carolina. Yes it was a situation I would have much rather happen back home in Pennsylvania, but you and the guys made it as if I was from Harrisonburg. All of you were pleasant and also explained everything thoroughly to make this problem a lot less exhausting. I know if I have another problem and I'm anywhere within your location, I have a place to take it and get the proper help and work for it. P.S. - my Explorer is running great. Thanks again..
AAMCO had amazing customer service, they were very nice people and they were very accommodating! The biggest thing for me was that they were very honest and even called me and asked which route I would like to based on the situation with my car, just to ensure that they wouldn't rip me off. Additionally they did not charge me for the first labor hour as it seems, they were very understanding of my unfortunate situation which was not my fault or theirs. Overall, Great Experience and Great Customer Service!!
I've always had good experiences at AAMCO . I've been going there a while and notice there isn't a high rate of turn-over with the people that work there. With garages I've gone to before, there was someone different behind the counter every time I went. To me, that stability says something. With all of the service I've had done, my vehicle has always run better afterwards. I notice most of the complaints come from people who are in another area code and trying to get information and make decisions over the phone. Maybe that's part of the issue, I don't know. What I do know is that I've always been satisfied with their work.
You get what you pay for. Even as a JMU student I have had plenty experience trying to take my car into cheap shops and getting shoddy work done that didn't last. These guys are good at what they do and are very up front with you. I like to work on my own car as much as possible now, but when something is beyond me I'd take my car here because i trust em. Pay no mind to the angry parents, these guys are great when you want to be sure the job gets done right.
